View Article  GPS Locators by SKYTAG..special offer
Note to all potential Muddyduck & ALRFC, customers...
This product is not endorsed by us (ALRFC) and is for info only.
Please be aware that there is an on-going monthly charge of £6.99 for monitoring service in relation to this product.

SKYTAG

After 9 months of testing and consultation with the Police, we launched a caravan specific 24 hour/ 365 day per year monitored stolen vehicle recovery service at the “International Caravan and Motor home Show” at the NEC last month and had a fantastic response from both the public and the trade. From the show alone we now protect £670,000 worth of caravans and Motor homes.

We have previously been selling to smaller specialist owners clubs with considerable success in the classic and modified car markets, so caravans were new to us.

Whilst at the show we were made aware of an alarming number of Landover’s going missing. We were approached by the secretary of the Midland Rover Owners club, John Kesterton and asked if we could come up with a deal for his club. This we have done, but thought it probably a little unfair to restrict this offer to just one club.

What we have done is discount a limited number of our “Locate” Bundle packages, specifically for Land Rover owners.

We are able to discount our “Bundle” offer, which includes Covert Locator, activation and setup, 3 months monitoring inc all vat ( worth £245.97)
The discount code “nec2009” will reduce this to £99 for the first 10 purchased with this code.

We have also given a further 10 to Bauer Media and there will be a reader competition and offer in the December edition of either “Land Rover Owner International” or “Max Power”. I believe they are more likely to go with Max Power, as we have already done an editorial piece for them.

General company info:

Skytag specialises in GPS locators for recovery of stolen vehicles, we have some unique features that make our service stand out from the competition, apart from the 24 hour / 365day monitored service.
The first is that we are the only company to provide the Police with a direct login to see the vehicle moving in real time across a map interface, giving them the opportunity to act in accordance with resources and road safety concerns.
The second is Price, we have all seen prices in the electronics industry falling in the last 5 years, a trend not followed by the providers of stolen vehicle recovery services, most of which are still charging 2002/3 prices.
Our covert device is available at only £199 inc vat and the monthly monitoring is only £6.99 inc vat.

Please feel free to ask any questions, have a look at our site www.skytag-gps.co.uk

Considering putting wheel spacers on Defender when going away abroad to get better turning circle in mountain roads.
Apart from issue of increased pressure on wheel bearings has anyone any experience of use of these ? Any ideas of other possible concerns?
Trying to fit to 110 td5 for alloy wheels , anybody know good supplier and type should use?
Will wheel centre cap still fit?
Any ideas let me know thanks

View Article  June Events....Sibbertoft Info..
Sibbertoft Trialling – June 17th-18th
This is one of the best offroading weekends to be had on our calendar.
Sibbertoft is situated in Northants. The site sits at the very end of an airfied (Gliding Club).
It is owned by Avalanche Adventures. Rather like Billing, the camping and course are close to each other.

A group of us went to Sibbertoft last year to try it out and everyone was so
impressed, the committee decided to make it an official ALRFC event!

Camping is available from Friday. Trials start on Saturday morning.
This is a skills test to see who has the best control of their vehicle over testing terrain.
It's all in good fun but there is a certificate for Best Male/ Best Female (and the worst!).

View Article  Muddyduck is a quacking success!
The muddyduck website opened at the beginning of March. Since then members have been flocking to it as the main point of contact for ALRFC.
This popularity coupled with members having expressed some confusion over ALRFC existing in two locations has caused the Committee to take a serious look at the overall web strategy.

The Committee decided, unanimously, that muddyduck.co.uk would incorporate the ALRFC public site. This will definitely be of help to those new prospects enquiring about joining an off road club. The public visitor would not have to leave the site to see how active (and interactive) this club is.
It would be immediately apparent them that THIS CLUB ROCKS!

New information areas about ALRFC will be posted and available to all. However, current security for accessing muddyduck content will remain.
